Preliminary measurements in the flame region of a bagasse-fired boiler

By

Recent investigations have indicated that the bagasse moisture variation at furnace entry can be from four to six per cent over a relatively short period during which milling performance was considered normal. It is these large short-term variations in moisture content which produce the fluctuations in flame luminosity typical of bagasse suspension firing.
