Crop establishment at Mossman with minimum till planting and chemical ploughout of the previous crop

The Cooya Beach section of Mossman Mill area has a history of poor plant strike and crop establishment, caused mainly by low moisture retention in the black beach sands. An alternative method of planting was tried in 1987 and proved to be very successful
