The effects of weed competition on ratoon sugar cane yield

A significant component of cane growers' time and a considerable proportion of production costs are involved in the control of weeds in ratoon cane. To gain a better understanding of weed competition in ratoon cane, trials were established in Mackay in 1985 and in Mackay, Ayr and Tully in 1986. This paper reports the results of these five trials.
