Control of Lepidiota squamulata Waterhouse larvae by single and double applications of controlled release insecticides
By Hitchcock, BE; Bull, RM; Allsopp, PG; McGill, NG
Application of 2, 4 or 6 kg a.i./ha of CR-chlorpyrifos at planting reduced larval numbers of L. squamulata and increased yields in sugar cane for up to 3 years. There were no additional benefits of double applications of 2 or 3 kg a.i/ha at planting and into the half-open drill. CR terbufos and CR-carbosulfan at the same levels reduced larval numbers only in the plant crop.
