Control systems of the SRI continuous high grade pan at Maryborough

A 75 cubic metre continuous high grade pan, designed to SRI specifications and engineered by Walkers Limited, was installed and commissioned at Maryborough Sugar Factory during the 1988 season. The commissioning and operation of the pan are described by Broadfoot, Miller and Davies (1989). This paper details the control systems associated with the pan, with particular reference to the ancillary systems associated with its operation and with product disposal. Details of the hardware, particularly the types of valves used, are given.
