Smarter control of exhaust steam pressure using evaporator capacity

This paper outlines an approach which focuses on smoothing out the steam demand and the pressure of the exhaust (or process) steam main. The objective is to steady the exhaust main pressure disturbances such as those caused by the start-up of a large vacuum pan.
