For the 1992 crushing season, Harwood Mill installed a PE to provide an incremental expansion to the area of the second effect of the factory's sextuple Roberts evaporator set. This paper presents the results of the performance trails and discusses practical aspects for incorporating a PE into a Roberts evaporator set.
