The use of NMR for the measurement of the crystal contents of massecuites
By Pax, RA
Nuclear magnetic resonance ( NMR) affords great selectivity between chemical components in a process stream. Results are presented for the measurement of the crystal contents of massecuites using low resolution NMR. The key advantages of this approach over conventional laboratory methods are the reduction in measurement time to less than 5 minutes, reduction in the error of the determination by at least a factor of two, and the minimal sample preparation required.
