Legislative influences on the development and application of lubricants

New legislation on the disposal of used lubricating oils has led some overseas countries to develop and utilise rapidly biodegradable lubricants. the majority of these lubricants are based on rapeseed oil. It is likely that this trend will spread to Australia and the sugar industry. What to expect from this new generation of lubricants is addressed here.
