Computer based traffic officer tools

With the advent of continuous crushing and the accompanying rostered harvesting, the task of managing cane transport operations has become considerably more complicated. Central Queensland University has developed a prototype version of a set of computer based tools to assist traffic officers to perform their daily tasks. These form the Traffic Officers Tools component of a proposed decision support system. The prototype and some additional features to be incorporated in the fully operational system are described.
