Towards an integrated cane transport scheduling system

Individual elements of a cane transport scheduling system have been developed and used for a considerable number of years. This paper considers how these elements, including the schedule simulation program ACTSS, the schedule generating program ACRSS, and the more recently developed Traffic Officer Tools can be combined to provide an integrated approach to transport scheduling and control. The incorporation of other technological advances into this framework is also discussed.
